Students

We are the Ukrainian Student League, an organization created by students for students to develop and fully support the student community, as well as movements and projects that affect our lives.

Our mission is to form a culture of student life in Ukraine to pursue a change in our society.

Our vision is to be the finest part of student life and to create an ecosystem of youth local communities in Ukraine for the growth, coordination and representation of the students’ interests.

Participation in our organization and its projects provides opportunities both for acquiring personal experience and increasing the competitiveness of a person in general, and also for his/her advancement in the hierarchy of USL.

The structure is designed to be able to interact effectively with student government associations (SGA), businesses, community and youth organizations.

Combining the resource base and development vectors formed by SGA, we have the opportunity to implement a variety of projects and programs (from science and sports to bonuses, such as discounts, priority places for various events, internships in enterprises and government agencies, etc. ).

This is only a part of opportunities we offer to increase the standards of student life.

Student self-governments

The authors of the idea and the founders of the Ukrainian Student League are students: members of student self-government bodies, active youth, public figures.

The Board of Founders is a structure that takes care of the institutionalization and stability of the USL. It is needed to protect values and preserve the idea of USL for a long time.

The main function is to control the perseverance of powers and values by all bodies.

The Executive Board is the executive governing body. It includes a Secretariat, which ensures a sustainable work process, and six departments that oversee the multi-vector development of the USL.

Functions:

organization of the USL;
implementation of tasks and plans formed by the League Congress.

Separate subdivisions are branches of USL with their own structure in different cities of Ukraine. They are formed from the main value of USL - students. Separate units are created to unite students of Ukraine on the local level and implement local projects.

Functions: creation of favorable conditions for interaction of Ukrainian students for the purpose of their cooperation.

The Congress of the League is our parliament and the main driving force in the conceptual, ideological and value-resource directions of USL development. The Congress presents three main driving forces of our activities: student government, business and community organizations. Student government of Ukrainian universities is the main force of the Congress (80% of votes).

Therefore, SGA delegates have the right to vote and decide on:

strategy and vector of organization development;
new projects;
admission of new members;
representation in various institutions, etc.

SGA is not a legal entity, so it can not be a member of our organization. However, we do have the solution for you:

SGA can send their delegate by providing us with documents confirming their authority. After that, the delegate gets the right to vote and expanded opportunities to be able to represent his/her university within our organization.
We grant this person the status of a subject of SGA. Therefore, SGA can share the benefits of our organization.

Note that membership can be associated for those SGA that do not comply with the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", and full - for all others.

If you are an organization that would like to implement successful commercial or social projects and to work with a qualified and active team, focused on young people, you have a great opportunity to connect with the target audience, improve the living standards of youth and to have an impact on the state policy. Positive change depends on our partnership!

We are a public non-profit association: any income gained by the League is used to support student initiatives.

We strive for a transparent and honest relationship. Each member of the union has the right to request reports on expenditure of the resources.

We are an independent organization. Only the founders, members of the Executive Board, delegates of the SGA and other participants influence the vector of our development. No third parties can affect it.

We work in compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine and the Law of Ukraine "On Public Associations".
